Tony Iommi is back on stage, this time rocking out with ballet dancers! The legendary Black Sabbath guitarist performed at the premiere of “Black Sabbath – The Ballet” on Wednesday at Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London.
This unique show features the music of Black Sabbath, including classics like “Paranoid” and “Iron Man,” along with original orchestral pieces inspired by the band. The ballet, which debuted in 2023, combines heavy metal with dance in an exciting way.
While Iommi was performing, Queen’s Brian May was in the audience. He shared a clip of Iommi shredding on Instagram, praising him as “the true Father of Heavy Metal.” May highlighted the impressive collaboration of Iommi with a 40-piece orchestra and a cast of 50 dancers, calling it the “icing on the cake” for a fantastic production.
Just a few weeks earlier, Iommi reunited with his original Black Sabbath bandmates—Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward—at the “Back to the Beginning” concert on July 5. Sadly, Ozzy passed away on July 22, just two weeks later.
Fans are thrilled to see Iommi back in action, blending rock and ballet in a way that only he can. This show is a must-see for any music lover!
