Explosions In The Sky Light Up The Truman in Kansas City

Words & Photos by Anthony Scanga (ras_visual)

Explosions In The Sky graced the stage at the Truman in Kansas City on February 6th and brought a career spanning set to the fans. Being one of the more successful instrumental rock acts of recent memory they did not disappoint. The performance was intense with no breaks and truly transported the listener. The guitars were loud, the delays were mind boggling and the band was giving an intense performance. “The End tour” that the band is currently embarking on is doing something interesting and having local openers join the band in each city. Last night the band Nightosphere kicked things off a local Kansas City three piece.

If one is looking for a transportative music performance go check out explosions in the sky on the end tour, you won’t be disappointed.

Remaining Tour Dates:

Feb 7 – Tower Theatre @ Oklahoma City, OK
Feb 8 – Cain’s Ballroom @ Tulsa, OK
Feb 28 – Capital Theatre @ Singapore
Feb 29 – Jiospace Odeum @ Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
