Candlebox frontman Kevin Martin has confirmed that the band is officially working on a new studio album, tentatively scheduled for a 2027 release. In a recent interview with On The Road To Rock, Martin revealed that the group already has eight songs in development. The band plans to finish a few more tracks and release singles throughout 2026 before dropping the full record next year.

This news comes as a surprise to some, as the band’s 2023 release, The Long Goodbye, was originally billed as their final album. However, Martin explained that the return of original guitarist Peter Klett and a successful run of shows—including a tour with Bush and Jerry Cantrell—reignited his creative passion. Martin noted that having Klett back in the lineup has "upped the game," bringing a specific "magic" back to the band's signature sound.

The new Netflix documentary, The Rise of the Red Hot Chili Peppers: Our Brother, Hillel, has premiered with a controversial creative choice: using an AI-generated voiceover to replicate the speaking voice of the band’s late founding guitarist, Hillel Slovak. The digital reconstruction is used to recite Slovak's personal journals, providing a first-person perspective on the band's formative years before his tragic passing in 1988.

While the film primarily features new, real-life commentary from Anthony Kiedis, Flea, and original drummer Jack Irons, the inclusion of the AI voice has been described as "unsettling" by some early viewers. The documentary explores the deep bond between the founding members and the struggles with addiction that defined their early career. Although the band initially distanced themselves from the project—stating it was a story about Slovak rather than the band—Kiedis and Flea remain the central drivers of the narrative.

Kelly Osbourne and her fiancé, Slipknot turntablist Sid Wilson, have reportedly ended their relationship and engagement. According to sources, the split comes during an incredibly difficult period for Kelly following the passing of her father, Ozzy Osbourne, in July 2025.

The breakup occurs just seven months after Wilson proposed to Kelly on stage during Ozzy’s final performance with Black Sabbath last summer. The couple, who first went public with their relationship in early 2022, share a 3-year-old son, Sidney. While neither party has released a formal statement, reports suggest the emotional toll of recent family losses played a significant role in the decision to part ways.

Puddle of Mudd has officially released the music video for their song "Free," a track featured on the band's latest studio effort, Kiss The Machine. The album, which arrived in May 2025 via Pavement Entertainment, marks a continuing era for frontman Wes Scantlin and his current lineup, which includes bassist Michael Anthony Grajewski, drummer Jon Smith, and guitarist Miles Schon (son of Journey’s Neal Schon).

This latest visual follows a string of recent activity for the post-grunge mainstays, including the February release of the single "Rain" and the late 2025 surprise track "Monsters." With over seven million albums sold worldwide, the band continues to lean into the emotional authenticity that defined their early 2000s breakout while exploring a contemporary sonic edge with their new management and production team at NI Music Group.

Weezer has officially signaled their return with a cryptic new teaser shared across social media. The video features four hand-drawn symbols and opens with the classic "Buddy Holly" riff before transitioning into a snippet of unreleased music. In the clip, frontman Rivers Cuomo can be heard singing the phrase, “Shine again,” echoing a hint the band dropped back in February.

The teaser concludes with the date March 26, leading fans to believe a full single or album announcement is imminent. This marks the band's first new output since their ambitious 2022 SZNZ EP series. While the group prepares for this new era, their 2015 track "Go Away" has seen a massive resurgence, recently entering the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart thanks to a viral trend on TikTok.

Alkaline Trio has officially announced that Tosh Peterson is the band’s new drummer. The 24-year-old musician replaces Atom Willard, who announced his departure from the group back in February. Peterson, who has recently been on the road with Lady Gaga, confirmed the news on social media after guitarist Matt Skiba praised him as “the best drummer in the world in our book.”

Despite his young age, Peterson has built an impressive resume as a “hired gun,” performing with artists such as Machine Gun Kelly, Bad Bunny, Filter, and Fall Out Boy. He is set to join Alkaline Trio for their upcoming co-headlining North American tour with Rise Against, which kicks off this September. If the position becomes permanent, Peterson will be the fifth full-time drummer in the band’s 30-year history.

Muse has announced a surprise, intimate "live transmission" show at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on April 3, 2026. The 5,000-capacity gig marks the band's first performance since September 2025 and serves as the launch event for their tenth studio album, The WOW! Signal. The album announcement itself was a spectacle, involving a tablet sent 33km into the air to premiere the new single, "Be With You."

The record draws inspiration from the famous 1977 interstellar radio burst and follows the release of previous single "Unravelling." Fans can gain first access to tickets by pre-ordering the new album from the official Muse store before 11:59 AM GMT on Tuesday, March 24. With the new era officially underway, the Brixton show is expected to feature the live debut of several tracks from the space-themed project.

Evanescence has shared a new photo from the recording studio, confirming they are working with high-profile producers Jordan Fish (formerly of Bring Me The Horizon) and Zack Cervini. The update marks a significant creative shift for the band’s upcoming project.

According to recent interviews with drummer Will Hunt, the band has reportedly tracked six or seven songs with the Fish/Cervini duo, with Cervini expected to mix the entire album. Amy Lee has previously described Fish as a “missing piece” in her creative life, suggesting the new material will heavily integrate the electronic and modern rock elements the producers are known for. This news comes on the heels of the band’s 2025 collaboration tracks and signals that the follow-up to The Bitter Truth is entering its final production stages.

Today, March 22nd, marks exactly 13 years since My Chemical Romance announced their disbandment. On this day in 2013, the band posted a brief, emotional statement on their official website, bringing an end to a 12-year run that defined a subculture and produced generation-spanning anthems like "Welcome to the Black Parade" and "Helena."

While the band eventually made a triumphant return to the stage in 2019 and released the single "The Foundations of Decay" in 2022, the 2013 announcement remains a defining "where were you?" moment for fans. Gerard Way, Ray Toro, Frank Iero, and Mikey Way have each pursued diverse creative paths in the years since, but the legacy of their "sleazy, dangerous, and beautiful" vision continues to influence a new wave of alternative and rock artists.
