Candlebox frontman Kevin Martin has confirmed that the band is officially working on a new studio album, tentatively scheduled for a 2027 release. In a recent interview with On The Road To Rock, Martin revealed that the group already has eight songs in development. The band plans to finish a few more tracks and release singles throughout 2026 before dropping the full record next year.

This news comes as a surprise to some, as the band’s 2023 release, The Long Goodbye, was originally billed as their final album. However, Martin explained that the return of original guitarist Peter Klett and a successful run of shows—including a tour with Bush and Jerry Cantrell—reignited his creative passion. Martin noted that having Klett back in the lineup has "upped the game," bringing a specific "magic" back to the band's signature sound.

Wu-Tang Clan has officially announced a new 26-date North American leg of their “Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber Tour,” featuring special guests Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. Alkaline Trio has officially announced that Tosh Peterson is the band’s new drummer. The 24-year-old musician replaces Atom Willard, who announced his departure from the group back in February.
