If you’re new here, hi—I’m Taylor Brooke, professional content girly by day, full-time dog mom by always. My life is a whirlwind of PR events, podcast episodes, and espresso—but nothing grounds me like a slow walk or chaotic sprint through a dog park with my two girls: Dr. Callie Torres, our sassy mini goldendoodle, and Kenzie, our one-year-old rescue poodle, named after the Kensington neighborhood where she was found.
Callie is the type of dog who thrives off socializing, compliments, and being told she’s pretty (relatable). Kenzie is still learning the ropes, but she’s got long legs, a wild heart, and the energy of a toddler who skipped her nap.
Here are our top 5 favorite dog parks in the Delaware Valley—places we keep in rotation based on vibes, fencing, and if I am being honest, how clean my shoes stay.
Fetch, Frolic, Repeat: Our Go-To Dog Parks in the Delaware Valley
1. Talley Day Bark Park – Wilmington, DE
Address: 1308 Foulk Rd, Wilmington, DE 19803
This is our go-to. Fully fenced, double-gated, and shaded with mature trees, Talley Day feels like dog park heaven. There are two separate areas for large and small dogs, water stations, and lots of friendly locals who Callie treats like her fans.
2. Palmer Doggie Depot – Fishtown, Philadelphia, PA
Address: 37 E Palmer St, Philadelphia, PA 19125
The vibes here? Immaculate. Palmer is smaller, yes, but filled with stylish dogs and their even-more-stylish owners. It’s in the heart of Fishtown, so we usually follow it up with a stroll to grab a coffee or a pup cup. Kenzie loves it, and Callie acts like she owns the place.
3. Seger Dog Park – Philadelphia, PA
Address: 1001 Rodman St, Philadelphia, PA 19107
Urban pups, this one’s for you. Tucked in the heart of Center City, Seger is a gem. It’s compact, super social, and surrounded by the kind of neighbors who remember your dog’s name before they remember yours. Great for days when we’re in the city and the girls need a play break between meetings or coffee runs.
4. Pennsbury Bark Park – Chadds Ford, PA
Address: 702 Baltimore Pike, Chadds Ford, PA 19317
Located within Pennsbury Township Park, this community dog park offers a safe and fun environment for dogs to socialize and exercise off-leash. With separate areas for small and large dogs, it’s perfect for both Callie and Kenzie to play comfortably. The park provides ample space for dogs to run and for owners to relax and connect.
5. Concord Township Dog Park at Bush Hill Farm – Glen Mills, PA
Address: 30 Bethel Road, Glen Mills, PA 19342
Just a short drive from Chadds Ford, this dog park is part of the Concord Township Park system. It features fenced-in areas where dogs can play off-leash safely. The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset, providing a convenient spot for morning or evening play sessions.
Being a dog mom in the Delaware Valley means there’s no shortage of parks, trails, and chaos to explore. Whether you’re looking for wide-open spaces or cute city corners, these five spots have been approved by both Dr. Callie Torres and Kensington’s finest, Kenzie the Poodle.
See you at the park—likely chasing Kenzie while Callie rolls her eyes.
