Flea, the bassist of Red Hot Chili Peppers, has just released his first solo album, titled *Honora*. One of the standout tracks is his cover of Funkadelic’s classic song “Maggot Brain.” Flea’s version is about half the length of the original 10-minute track, but he keeps the iconic spoken-word intro.
In *Honora*, Flea showcases his talents on both trumpet and bass. The album also features the previously released song “Traffic Lights,” which includes a collaboration with Radiohead’s Thom Yorke. Additionally, there’s an instrumental cover of Frank Ocean’s hit “Thinkin Bout You.”
To support the album, Flea will kick off a solo tour across the U.S. in May. Fans can look forward to an exciting live experience as he shares his new music. Stay tuned for more updates on tour dates and locations!
