The holiday season is here, and with Christmas just around the corner, it’s the perfect time for some festive tunes. The Foo Fighters have released a fun music video for their cover of Chuck Berry’s classic “Run Rudolph Run.” The video features a cartoon Santa and his reindeer jamming out on festive guitars, and you can check it out now.
There’s something special about hearing a holiday song from your favorite rock or metal band. It shows a different side of these artists, reminding us that they’re human too. The holiday spirit can sneak in, even for the heaviest personalities.
Foo Fighters’ version of “Run Rudolph Run” isn’t brand new. The band first released it in 2020 exclusively for Amazon Music, then made it available on more platforms in 2021. Now, they’ve added a festive music video to the mix.
In other news, the Foo Fighters have announced a new tour with a series of U.S. stadium shows starting in August. Dave Grohl shared his excitement about returning to the stage, saying, “Since our return to the stage in San Luis Obispo five weeks ago, we have been reminded of why we love and are forever devoted to doing this Foo Fighters thing.”
He continued, “From reuniting as a band and looking at 30 years of songs to reimagining them with the incredible Ilan Rubin on drums, to reconnecting with our amazing fans, we have the most solid core. And the sun is finally rising over the horizon.”
Stay tuned for more updates on the Foo Fighters and their upcoming tour!
