Before Slash rejoined Guns N’ Roses in 2016, several guitarists played with Axl Rose. One of them was Buckethead, known for his unique stage presence with a giant bucket on his head. You might think they would be rivals, but that’s not the case.
Recently, Slash shared a video on Instagram of Buckethead jamming with Les Claypool from Primus. Buckethead responded, saying he was “really touched” to see it on Slash’s page. In a Facebook post, he praised Slash, calling him “one of the greats of all time.” He noted that Slash’s music and guitar skills have influenced many over the years.
Buckethead reflected on his time in Guns N’ Roses from 2000 to 2004, where he worked on the album Chinese Democracy, which was finally released in 2008. He admitted that he could never fully capture Slash’s essence in his playing, expressing his admiration for Slash’s talent.
Currently, Slash is on tour with Guns N’ Roses in Latin America, bringing their classic rock sound to fans across the region.
