Jay Weinberg, the former drummer of Slipknot, has released his first solo song titled “Sandstone.” The track features vocals and lyrics by George Clarke from the band Deafheaven. You can check out the music video on YouTube now.
Weinberg shared that this is the first song he’s released under his own name. It’s also the beginning of a series of collaborations. He is working on an EP that he hopes to release in early 2026.
After nearly a decade with Slipknot, Weinberg was let go in 2023. He has since joined the band Suicidal Tendencies. In his place, Slipknot has brought in former Sepultura drummer Eloy Casagrande.
