Frank Sinatra’s ‘In The Wee Small Hours’ Joins Blue Note’s Tone Poet Vinyl Series for Enhanced Listening Experience.

Frank Sinatra’s classic 1955 album, *In The Wee Small Hours*, is getting a special reissue as part of Blue Note’s Tone Poet Audiophile Vinyl Series. This new version will be released on November 17th, just in time for the album’s 70th anniversary.

The reissue is produced by Joe Harley and features all-analog mastering by Kevin Gray, using the original master tapes. It will be pressed on 180-gram vinyl at Record Technology Inc. and comes in a deluxe gatefold jacket. The packaging includes session photos by William Claxton and Ken Veeder, along with an essay by Rita Kirwan.

*In The Wee Small Hours* is a landmark album in Sinatra’s career and is often regarded as one of the first concept albums. Sinatra created it as a complete work rather than just a collection of singles. It was also one of the first pop albums released on a 12-inch LP.

The album features beloved songs from the Great American Songbook, including “In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning,” “Mood Indigo,” and “What Is This Thing Called Love?” It was produced by Voyle Gilmore and arranged by Nelson Riddle. Upon its release, the album quickly climbed to number two on the Billboard charts, helping to revive Sinatra’s career after his signing with Capitol Records.

The tracklist includes classic songs by famous songwriters like Cole Porter and Duke Ellington. Side one features the title track and “Glad to Be Unhappy,” while side two includes “Last Night When We Were Young” and ends with “This Love of Mine,” co-written by Sinatra.
