Garbage and Silversun Pickups to Perform at Freezing Man Concerts Supporting Epilepsy Research

Garbage’s Butch Vig and Duke Erikson, along with Silversun Pickups’ Brian Aubert and Nikki Monninger, are set to perform at the upcoming Freezing Man concerts. These shows aim to support epilepsy research and education. Organized by the nonprofit Joey’s Song, the concerts will take place on January 9 and 10 at The Sylvee in Madison, Wisconsin.

The lineup features over 35 artists, including Vicki and Debbi Peterson from The Bangles, Tanya Donelly and Gail Greenwood from Belly, Kay Hanley and Stacy Jones from Letters to Cleo, John Gourley and Eric Hok from Portugal. The Man, Jane Wiedlin from The Go-Go’s, Steve Porcaro from Toto, Max Collins from Eve 6, Chris Collingwood from Fountains of Wayne, and Hugo Burnham from Gang of Four.

The Freezing Man event will have two distinct shows: an unplugged night on January 9 and an electric show on January 10. Butch Vig will serve as the musical director, and his covers group, The Know-It-All Boyfriends, will be the house band.

Tickets go on sale this Friday at JoeysSong.org. Joey’s Song was founded 15 years ago in memory of Joey Gomoll, a young boy who lost his life to a severe form of epilepsy before turning five. Previous concerts have raised over $1.5 million for epilepsy research and education. Don’t miss this chance to enjoy great music for a worthy cause!
