Speaking in San Antonio, the frontman told fans the band would love to return to the studio.
During the final show of My Chemical Romance’s Long Live the Black Parade tour in San Antonio, Texas, frontman Gerard Way shared that the band hopes to record a new album. Speaking to the audience, Way stated that the group has “always wanted to make another record” and hopes life allows them to do so, though he noted he does not know when it will happen.
While no official album title, release date, or recording schedule has been confirmed, a new project would mark the group’s first full-length studio album since 2010’s Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. After disbanding in 2013 and reuniting in 2019, the band previously released a standalone single, “The Foundations of Decay,” in 2022.
