Matt Berninger, frontman of The National, has released a new solo song called “Martini Me Fatso.” He calls the track “a tipsy prayer.” On Instagram he wrote, “I was a little angry at god. I don’t think there is a god but if there is I want them to know I’m pissed.”

The song follows Berninger’s 2025 solo album, Get Sunk. The National last put out two albums in 2023: First Two Pages of Frankenstein and Laugh Track.
