Godsmack & Shinedown Ignite The BB&T Pavilion

Godsmack and Shinedown co-headlined one of the final summer season shows at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, NJ on Sunday, August 26, 2018 with support from Red Sun Rising.

Red Sun Rising played a quick 6 song set, but during their time they were energizing the crowd with their hits like “Deathwish” and “Veins” from their most recent album Thread and songs from earlier albums like “The Otherside,” “Amnesia,” and “Emotionless.”

Setlist:

  1. Clarity
  2. The Otherside
  3. Amnesia
  4. Veins
  5. Emotionless
  6. Deathwish

Shinedown was up next on this night and they did not disappoint.  After dropping a white curtain that was flashing the logo from their most recent album Attention Attention their set was filled with tons of pyro and explosions.   Of course they played most of their hits like “Sound of Madness,” “Second Chance,” and “Devil.”  During their set vocalist Brent Smith took the time to shake the hands of the security and photographers in the pit, which we thought was a great moment during the show.

Setlist:

  1. Attention Attention Intro
  2. Sound of Madness
  3. Diamond Eyes (Boom-Lay Boom-Lay Boom)
  4. Cut the Cord
  5. I’ll Follow You

  7. Get Up
  8. Enemies
  9. Unity
  10. State of My Head
  11. Second Chance
  12. Simple Man
    (Lynyrd Skynyrd cover)
  13. Devil

Godsmack was up next with another curtain drop and a ton of pyro.  Vocalist Sully Erna, guitarist Tony Rombola, bassist Robbie Merrill, and drummer Shannon Larkin were active during the entire set, especially Shannon Larkin who is a blast to watch behind his drum kit.   The drum battle which is know as “Batalla de los tambores” has become a staple of a Godsmack show was one of the highlights of their set, during which Sully and Larkin took turns playing solos as well as covers from other bands.  The band also made time to please the fans with hits like “Whatever,” “Bulletproof,” and “I Stand Alone.”

Setlist:

  1. When Legends Rise
  2. 1000hp
  3. Keep Away
  4. Cryin’ Like a Bitch
  5. Say My Name
  6. Awake
  7. Someday
  8. Voodoo
