Ozzy Osbourne was honored with a special musical tribute at the 2026 Grammy Awards on Sunday night. During the in memoriam segment, Guns N’ Roses members Slash and Duff McKagan, along with Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and producer Andrew Watt, performed the Black Sabbath classic “War Pigs.” Post Malone took the lead on vocals.
Many of the artists had personal ties to Ozzy. Guns N’ Roses and Chad Smith played at the Back to the Beginning concert in 2025, just two weeks before Ozzy’s passing, which was his last live performance. Andrew Watt produced Ozzy’s final two solo albums, 2020’s Ordinary Man and 2022’s Patient Number 9, and Slash, McKagan, Smith, and Malone all contributed to those projects. Ozzy also shared the stage with Malone at the 2019 American Music Awards.
But that wasn’t all for Watt at the Grammys. Earlier in the night, he joined Lady Gaga for her performance of “Abracadabra,” featuring Josh Freese, the drummer from Nine Inch Nails and former Foo Fighters member.
The 2026 Grammy Awards took place at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and were broadcast on CBS. Fans can look forward to the 2027 Grammy Awards, which will air on ABC.
