Grand Old Opry To Mark Loretta Lynn’s 90th Birthday With Multi-Artist Tribute

Loretta Lynn’s 90th birthday will be marked by Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry with an edition of Opry Country Classics on Thursday (14) in honor of one of its most distinguished members.

The show will include performances by Lynn’s sister and fellow Opry member Crystal Gayle, the Gatlin Brothers, Elizabeth Cook, and Maggie Rose, as well as featuring the Opry debut of duo Twitty and Lynn. Tayla Lynn and Tre Twitty are the grandchildren of Lynn and her frequent singing partner Conway Twitty. They perform their own tribute show to the duo, who are known to them as “Memaw” and “Poppy.” More names are to be announced for the tribute bill.

Loretta Lynn’s Opry debut came at the age of 28 on October 15, 1960. She was inducted as a member on September 25, 1962 as she began to build her extraordinary career which has included three Grammy Awards and eight Country Music Association Awards. In 1972, Lynn became the first female artist to win the CMA’s prestigious Entertainer of the Year award. She received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010 and is a member of the Country Music and Songwriters Halls of Fame,

Tickets for Loretta Lynn’s 90th Birthday Celebration are on sale now at (615) 871-OPRY and at opry.com, with regular and VIP packages available. The show will be broadcast on opry.com and wsmonline.com, SiriusXM Willie’s Roadhouse, and on the show’s flagship and historic radio home, WSM Radio.
