Green Day has announced the soundtrack for their movie NIMRODS. The album drops July 31 and mixes classic Green Day songs, live recordings, and a new track called “I’m Never Gonna R.I.P.” You can stream that song and its video now on YouTube. The video includes clips from the film.
The soundtrack also features music from The Paradox, Ultra Q, actress Mckenna Grace, and the movie’s fictional band, Analog Dogs. In NIMRODS, three friends—played by Mason Thames, Kyler Coffman, and Ryan Foust—take a road trip after mistakenly thinking their band, Analog Dogs, will open for Green Day on New Year’s Eve. The story draws on Green Day’s early van-tour days.
The cast includes Mckenna Grace, Jenna Fischer, Angela Kinsey, Fred Armisen, and Bobby Lee. NIMRODS hits theaters on Aug. 14.
