Greta Van Fleet has announced a handful of tour dates for this year. The “Strange Horizons Tour” kicks off on August 5 in Tennessee.
The Peaceful Army fan club pre-sale starts May 25, and the local venue pre-sale is on May 26. General tickets go on sale on May 27 at 10am local time. Get tickets here.
Jake Kiszka and Danny Wagner spoke to WDHA’s Terrie Carr about the tour. “It’s a really interesting time for rock and roll. There’s sort of a bridge that’s sort of connecting all of these generations. You’ve had the evolution of not only the genre-specific rock and roll over the last seven decades. There are people who have lived in a world where there was always rock and roll. But there are people who were around for the birth of the British invasion or the birth of different forms of rock and roll. Some generations, including our own, were very new to this genre.”
And, they say that at Greta Van Fleet’s shows, “They’re all sort of coming together. And it seems like we’re in the right place and the right time and play the music that’s sort of making that possible, along with so many other rock and roll bands. When you go to one of our shows, you see people who are eight to eighty [years old].”
