Guitarist says Sepultura invited Cavalera brothers to final concert

Sepultura has announced their farewell tour, but founding members Max and Iggor Cavalera won’t be joining them. Guitarist Andreas Kisser revealed that he reached out to the Cavalera brothers to invite them to perform at the final show, but they declined.

Kisser shared, “We did invite the Cavalera brothers. I spoke to Iggor personally a few months ago, and we started some communication. Even our managers talked to their management. But they don’t want to be a part of it, and that’s OK. It’s a choice.”

Currently, Sepultura includes Kisser and bassist Paulo Jr., who have been with the band since the ’80s, along with vocalist Derrick Green, who took over for Max in 1997. Drummer Greyson Nekrutman joined the band in 2024 after Eloy Casagrande left to join Slipknot.

The final North American tour kicks off in April, but the date for their last concert has not yet been announced. Meanwhile, the Cavalera brothers have reunited and are performing together in their band, Cavalera. Fans are eager to see how this farewell tour unfolds!
