Gwen Stefani Shares New Single ‘Swallow My Tears’

Gwen Stefani has shared a new single. “Swallow My Tears” will appear on the pop legend’s fifth album, Bouquet. The song follows the previously-released track “Somebody Else’s.” Bouquet is out November 15 via Interscope Records.

Both “Swallow My Tears” and “Somebody Else’s” were recorded with a full live band at Nashville’s Smoakstack Studios alongside award-winning producer Scott Hendricks. The rest of Bouquet was created with the same crew. The 10-song album includes a collaboration with Stefani’s country superstar/husband Blake Shelton, “Purple Irises.” The record’s cover shows Stefani lounging on a bed in a cowboy hat and plaid suit while holding a single peony. She has said that the album “will be in full bloom” upon its release.

Bouquet will be Stefani’s first solo album in seven years. It follows her 2017 holiday album You Make It Feel Like Christmas and 2015’s This Is What the Truth Feels Like, which debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200. This year, Stefani’s solo 2004 solo debut, Love. Angel. Music. Baby., celebrated its 20th anniversary with a vinyl repress. The 5x platinum album includes the #1 hit “Hollaback Girl” as well as beloved singles like “Cool,” “Luxurious,” and “Crash.” Love. Angel. Music. Baby. peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 and received a handful of Grammy nominations including Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Record of the Year.

In April 2024, Stefani and No Doubt headlined Coachella, ending a decade-long hiatus. Last year, Stefani shared a single called “True Babe,” produced by Jack & Coke and KThrash. Stefani was included in the Hollywood Walk of Fame’s Class of 2024. In addition to releasing her own music, Stefani is entering her eighth season as a coach on NBC’s The Voice.
