Halsey To Auction Off Original ‘Love And Power’ Paintings With Sotheby’s

Halsey has announced the sale of some of their original paintings, created during the Love And Power tour, as part of Sotheby’s Contemporary Discoveries auction.

Each painting was created on stage within the confines of a three-minute song during the gigs, with five pieces from the tour now available to bid on until July 19. The paintings were created at performances in Gulf Shores, AL, Nashville, TN, Detroit, MI, Boston, MA, and Portland, OR. Each is worth between an estimated $5,000 and $7,000.

Proceeds from Halsey’s contribution to the auction will benefit the National Network of Abortion Funds, with abortion rights an area in which the pop superstar has been incredibly outspoken.

The five paintings are now on view at Sotheby’s New York as part of a free and public exhibition. Fans will be able to experience them in person through July 19.

The Contemporary Discoveries auction features a range of works including paintings, prints, photos, and sculptures, and focuses on artwork created between the 1960s and today. Halsey’s work will feature in the auction alongside pieces by the likes of Os Games, Victor Vasarely, Larry Poons, Aboudia, George Condo, Larry Bell, and more.

The Love And Power tour reached its conclusion in Irvine, CA on Saturday (July 9) and saw Halsey complete sold-out gigs at historic venues like Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl and headline New York’s Governors Ball festival. The star is now set to top the bill at more festivals over the course of the summer, including Poland’s Kraków Live, the UK’s Reading & Leeds, and Delaware’s Firefly.

Meanwhile, the pop supreme returned with her new single “So Good” last month, detailing her love story with her partner Alev Aydin in both the track and the video. Earlier in July, the star shared a stripped-down version of the song, featuring minimal piano and the singer’s layered vocals.
