Heart Perform Their First Live Show In Over Four Years

Heart performed their first live show in over four years last night (December 27) at the Yaamava Resort & Casino in Highland, California.

The legendary rock group fronted by sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson had previously announced a New Year’s Eve reunion concert in their hometown of Seattle, Washington. Since then, however, Heart also scheduled a few warm-up gigs, as the Highland show will be followed by a December 28 performance at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California.

Wednesday’s concert was Heart’s first since October 2019 and saw the band running through a career-spanning 14-song set including hits such as “Magic Man,” “Crazy on You,” “Alone” and “Barracuda.” The Wilson sisters went on to conclude their set with a cover of Led Zeppelin’s classic song “Stairway to Heaven,” reprising their famous performance of the song at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2012 — a rendition that famously brought Robert Plant, who was in attendance, to tears.

The Heart reunion will continue when the band joins up with Def Leppard and Journey as support for their 2024 co-headlining North American stadium tour. Heart will open select dates on the run: July 30 (Cleveland, Ohio), August 2 (Toronto), and August 5 (Boston).

Vocalist Ann Wilson revealed more about the band’s reunion in a recent interview with Tucson, Arizona’s 96.1 KLPX. She said “We’re gonna see how it works with the Heart thing, whether it feels like a level up. If it does, then we’ll keep doing it. But that’s what it has to be. It can’t just slide down into jukebox time… It’s gotta be real. No going through the motions. No phoning it in. No just getting on some kind of circuit just to take people’s money and play the old songs again and again and again. No, we’re gonna make it cool, really make it cool.”

Heart Live Setlist @ the Yaamava Resort & Casino:
“Bebe Le Strange”
“Never”

“Let’s Dance”
