Hole is reissuing its first three albums: Pretty on the Inside (1991), Live Through This (1994) and Celebrity Skin (1998). All three will be released Sept. 18 in several formats, including exclusive color, zoetrope and standard black vinyl, with remastered audio.
The Pretty on the Inside reissue adds three bonus tracks that have never been available on streaming platforms. Record Store Day Essential editions of all three albums will arrive at independent retailers on Oct. 23.
Hole broke up in 2002. Frontwoman Courtney Love briefly reformed the band in 2009 and released Nobody’s Daughter in 2010, but that record did not include guitarist Eric Erlandson, bassist Melissa Auf der Maur or drummer Patty Schemel. The classic lineup has played together occasionally since, but the band has never officially reunited.
Fans were excited when Hole’s Facebook posted “More news next Friday” on July 17. That appears to have been about these reissues. Love previously denied a full Hole reunion, though she and Auf der Maur are planning some kind of tour together.
