Ice Nine Kills has its first-ever No. 1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. Their song “Twisting the Knife,” recorded for the movie Scream 7, climbed to the top spot.
Actress Mckenna Grace, who is featured on the track, also scores her first No. 1 on Mainstream Rock Airplay. Ice Nine Kills had previously reached No. 9 with “A Grave Mistake” and “The Great Unknown.” Frontman Spencer Charnas also hit No. 1 before as a featured artist on Funeral Portrait’s “Suffocate City.”
The band’s newest song, “Play Dead,” released Friday. That track is inspired by the video game Dead by Daylight. Fans can expect more horror-themed metal and big moments from the band.
