Iron Maiden Commemorates 50 Years of Music with ‘Burning Ambition’ Documentary and Global Tour

Iron Maiden is set to release a feature-length documentary titled *Burning Ambition* in theaters worldwide on May 7. The film takes fans on a journey through the band’s 50-year history, starting from their beginnings in East London in 1975 to the present day. Directed by Malcolm Venville and produced by Dominic Freeman, the documentary features never-before-seen archival footage.

The recently released trailer includes appearances from notable musicians like Javier Bardem, Lars Ulrich, Tom Morello, and Chuck D. They share their thoughts on how Iron Maiden has influenced music and connected with fans across generations.

Since their formation, Iron Maiden has released 17 studio albums, sold over 100 million records, and performed nearly 2,500 concerts in 64 countries. *Burning Ambition* explores the deep bond between the band and their supporters, highlighting the impact of a movement that remains strong after more than 50 years.

The documentary arrives as Iron Maiden continues its two-year *Run for Your Lives* world tour, which recently included a homecoming show at London Stadium, close to where it all began. The European leg of the tour kicks off on May 23 in Athens, Greece, with stadium shows planned in London, Paris, and Milan. North American dates will run from August to September, followed by South American shows in October and a final leg in Australasia in November.

While the tour focuses on songs from 1980 to 1992, the documentary covers the entire 50-year span of the band’s career. Megadeth will join as special guests on select dates. For all tour dates and ticket links, fans can check the official website.
