Iron Maiden postage stamps are officially a thing, in the U.k.. It’s about time, right? The metal band has become the fifth musical group to get their own set of stamps by the Royal Mail postal service in London, England.
Iron Maiden now shares the honor with The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Queen and the Rolling Stones as musical groups who have been issued stamps via Royal Mail.
The stamp package features 12 unique images. Eight of the stamps are live photos of band members, taken between 1983 and 2018. The other four feature Iron Maiden’s famed mascot Eddie.
The Iron Maiden stamps will go on sale on Jan. 12. Pre-orders are available now via the Royal Mail webstore. Some framed and collectible-styled stamps are also available, including a limited edition gold version. View the offerings below.
We’re very proud and excited to announce that Royal Mail are to honour Iron Maiden with a set of special stamps!
