Iron Maiden’s concert in Paris was cut short due to a power outage on Monday night. Fans experienced a moment of panic when the lights went out during “2 Minutes to Midnight.” This happened while France was facing an extreme heat wave.
After about an hour of waiting, the band returned to the stage, but the delay meant they had to skip the encore due to the venue’s curfew. Before the show, Iron Maiden had announced they would be filming the concert for their Run for Your Lives tour. Fans in the floor section had to lock their phones in Yondr pouches, so it remains to be seen how the power outage will affect the film.
The Run for Your Lives tour, celebrating Iron Maiden’s 50th anniversary, will continue through Europe until mid-July and then head to North America in late August.
