Jack White has called out Tennessee Rep. Tim Burchett for sharing an AI-generated video of him. The clip, posted on Burchett’s X account, features a fake version of White saying, “Don’t even think about listening to my music, you fascist.” This echoes a false claim that White forbids Trump supporters from attending his concerts, which he has denied before.
In the caption, Burchett added, “That cute little girl from the Addams Family got really ugly and angry.”
White responded on Instagram, expressing disbelief that a U.S. congressman would share a misleading AI video without checking the facts. He wrote, “What kind of joke are we all living in now?” He criticized Burchett for making personal insults about his appearance and for not representing Tennessee well.
White continued, “Holding a bible in one hand and a flag in the other while you stomp out our democracy day by day in the service of one man’s ego… Embarrassing.”
Jack White has been vocal against Trump since the 2016 campaign, even selling “Icky Trump” T-shirts through his label, Third Man Records, as a nod to his song “Icky Thump.” Fans of White and music lovers alike are sure to keep an eye on this ongoing feud.
