Shinedown has just released the video for their song “Safe and Sound,” from their new album, EI8HT. The video showcases three different dance groups, each bringing their own style to the song. The goal is to inspire people to break away from the norm and see rock music from a fresh perspective. Choreographer David Matthew Rodriguez said, “Incorporating dance into a track like ‘Safe and Sound’ is unique, and that was our aim—to be original!” He added that the song’s passion and emotion are expressed through strong, confident dance moves.
If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to see Shinedown with boy band-style backup dancers, check out the “Safe and Sound” video now on YouTube. EI8HT, Shinedown’s eighth album, was released in May and features other singles like “Dance, Kid, Dance,” “Three Six Five,” “Searchlight,” and “Killing Fields.” The band’s U.S. tour in support of EI8HT will continue in July.
