The Metallica/Stranger Things connection continued this Halloween with James Hetfield dressing as the Netflix series’ resident metalhead Eddie Munson.
The Metallica Instagram shared a photo of Papa Het in full Eddie regalia, including a wig. The photo was simply captioned, “Eddie Munson says Happy Halloween!”
Metallica has enjoyed the love they received after their classic song “Master of Puppets” was used in the season four finale of Stranger Things. Following its use in Stranger Things, the track made its debut on the Billboard Hot 100 chart 36 years after its initial release.
Joseph Quinn, the actor that plays Eddie Munson, said in a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon of filming the “Master of Puppets” scene for Stranger Things, “It was kind of nerve-racking, but it was a weird point in the pandemic where no one had seen any live music for ages…I was nervous, but it was kind of like a rock concert, and I got to feel like a rock star for one night, and that was pretty great. That’s all I need.”
