Former Slipknot drummer Jay Weinberg has dropped a new solo track called “Drone Operator.” This song features NOWHERE2RUN, a collaboration with Code Orange members Jami Morgan and Eric Balderose. In an Instagram post, Weinberg shared how rewarding it was to work with his friends on this emotional piece of music. You can check out the “Drone Operator” video now on YouTube.
This is Weinberg’s second solo release, following his 2025 track “Sandstone,” which featured George Clarke from Deafheaven. Jay Weinberg, son of E Street Band drummer Max Weinberg, was with Slipknot for nearly ten years before parting ways with the band in 2023. Since then, he has also toured with Suicidal Tendencies.
