Jim James, the frontman of My Morning Jacket, has announced his new solo album titled *Wowed Out*, set to release on August 28. This will be his fourth solo project, following 2018’s *Uniform Distortion*.
In a statement, James shared, “There’ve been times in my life where I’ve felt lost or depressed, but music has always been the thing that pulls me back.” He described the album-making process as a dreamlike experience that brought him joy and comfort, and he hopes it will do the same for listeners.
The first single from *Wowed Out*, called “Come Again,” is already available. My Morning Jacket’s latest album was released in 2025.
