Jimmy Page introduces a compact Nymph version of his signature Sundragon amplifier.

Jimmy Page has unveiled a new version of his signature Sundragon amp called the Nymph. This updated model is a smaller take on the original Sundragon, which was inspired by the amp Page used for Led Zeppelin’s 1969 debut album.

“The idea was to create an amp that captures the sound I love in a more compact form,” Page explains. “It’s perfect for home use at lower volumes, but still has the rich tones of the bigger amps I enjoy.”

Page first tried out a Nymph prototype after his surprise performance at the 2023 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, where he played the classic Link Wray instrumental “Rumble.”

“Even with all the excitement from performing, I was eager to test the amp with my double-neck Gibson,” he recalls. “I played around with the 6-string neck and was thrilled to find those familiar tones. Then came the real test: could it handle the power of the 12-string guitar?”

To his delight, the Nymph not only captured the 12-string sound but did so brilliantly. “I was blown away. This amplifier is truly extraordinary!” he says.
