Turnstile has issued a harrowing official statement following the arrest of founding guitarist Brady Ebert, who is accused of attempting to murder the father of the band's frontman, Brendan Yates. In a statement provided to Rolling Stone, the band expressed their shock and devastation, stating, “We have no language left for Brady,” after he allegedly used his vehicle to intentionally strike 79-year-old William Yates in a violent assault.

The band confirmed that William Yates suffered "severe physical trauma" but has successfully undergone surgery and is currently in recovery. According to police reports, the incident occurred on March 29 in Silver Spring, Maryland, when the elder Yates stepped outside to protect his family after hearing Ebert honking and shouting obscenities. Ebert then allegedly drove his car directly at Yates, striking him and causing significant injuries to his legs. The band revealed that this attack follows a "consistent pattern of harmful behavior" and a long string of threats from Ebert that had escalated since his 2022 departure from the group.

Ebert, 33, is facing felony charges of attempted second-degree murder and first-degree assault. He is currently being held without bond in Montgomery County following a warrant for his arrest. Sevendust has released the official music video for their latest single, "Threshold," the second track revealed from their upcoming 15th studio album, One. The animated video, created by Ollie Jones, continues the quirky storyline from the band’s earlier "Fence" video, depicting a greedy agent reanimating the band members to force them back on the road. Collective Soul has announced the upcoming release of a new studio album titled Touch and Go, arriving on April 18. In a notable departure from their signature post-grunge and alternative rock sound, the band has pivoted toward a New Wave-inspired direction, citing The Cars as a primary influence.
