Joe Hahn Directs New Linkin Park Documentary ‘Unshatter’

The film documents the band’s return to music following years of loss and introduces their updated lineup.

Directed by the band’s DJ and visual artist Joe Hahn, the documentary Linkin Park: Unshatter begins a limited theatrical run on Wednesday, Sept. 30. The film explores the band’s process of moving forward and processing their loss following the 2017 death of frontman Chester Bennington. Originally starting with footage from Linkin Park’s 2024 concert in São Paulo, Brazil, the project expanded to capture the emotional healing and reflection required for the surviving members to make music together again.

The documentary also highlights the group’s new lineup, which features vocalist Emily Armstrong and drummer Colin Brittain, who joined following original drummer Rob Bourdon’s decision not to return. A companion soundtrack, Unshatter (Live in São Paulo), was released on Sept. 25 ahead of the film’s theatrical debut.
