Jon Bon Jovi, Dorothea Hurley Starting Food Bank to Aid Families During COVID-19 Pandemic

Jon Bon Jovi and his wife, Dorothea Hurley, are starting a new food bank in New Jersey help aid families affected by food insecurity due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Per Newsday, Bon Jovi and Hurley “…have pledged to finance the newly-formed JBJ Soul Kitchen Food Bank, which will be operated by Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based anti-hunger nonprofit the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation, to help the South Fork’s local food pantries keep up with the rising needs of struggling families and individuals during the pandemic.”

The food bank itself will “…provide food for 5,000 individuals monthly on the South Fork [neighborhood region], as well as pre-made Soul Kitchen meals to individuals without homes or those without access to cooking facilities.”

Bon Jovi has been doing his part during the coronavirus pandemic trying to help feed those in need. He made headlines when the Instagram for his JBJ Soul Kitchen Restaurant shared photos of him helping out by washing dishes at the restaurant.
