Jon Bon Jovi can add yet another accolade to his incredible career.

The Bon Jovi frontman has been named the 2024 MusiCares Person of the Year. MusiCares is the philanthropic arm of the Recording Academy, the group that organizes the Grammy Awards. The Person of the Year honor has gone to a number of legendary musicians for their dedication to service. Recent honorees include Dolly Parton, Fleetwood Mac and Joni Mitchell.

In fact, JBJ found out about the honor via a special video from 2012 MusiCares Person of the Year Paul McCartney, which he shared via social media.

Executive Director of MusiCares Laura Segura said in a statement, “MusiCares is thrilled to honor Jon Bon Jovi at the 2024 Person of the Year Gala … His long-standing commitment to serving food-insecure and unhoused individuals inspires us all.”

The 33rd annual Person of the Year gala event honoring Bon Jovi will take place on February 2, 2024 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Bon Jovi founded his JBJ Soul Foundation in 2006. The foundation is behind the JBJ Soul Kitchen, which has four restaurant locations in New Jersey that supply meals to people in need. The Soul Kitchen went viral during the coronavirus pandemic. They shared a photo of Bon Jovi washing dishes in the kitchen of their Red Bank, N.J. location.
