The Queens of the Stone Age frontman addressed the future of both former projects in a recent interview.
Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme revealed in an interview with Heavy Consequence that he is eager to play with Them Crooked Vultures again, though no album or tour has been confirmed. Homme stated he believes bandmates Dave Grohl and John Paul Jones would also be open to a reunion, adding that he believes Grohl should take the lead in bringing the group back together. Them Crooked Vultures previously released a self-titled album in 2009, toured through 2010, and briefly reunited for two tribute sets in 2022.
In contrast, Homme expressed caution regarding a potential reunion for Kyuss, which disbanded in 1995 and was later involved in a legal dispute over the band’s name. Stating that he remains “perpetually on the fence,” Homme noted a desire to protect the band’s legacy. Outside of discussion regarding his past groups, Queens of the Stone Age is set to release the album Perfecth on Oct. 30, and Homme has organized a benefit concert scheduled for Nov. 16 featuring Jack Black, “Weird Al” Yankovic, and Beck.
