The rocker ran through some of his biggest hits, including “Nada Valgo Sin Tu Amor,” “Cecilia,” “Mala Gente,” “La Luz,” and “A Dios Le Pido.”
Regarding the performance, NPR reporter Felix Contreras wrote: “From the moment Colombian superstar Juanes started singing “Nada Valgo Sin Tu Amor,” we know we were in for something special.” Check out the twenty-nine time Grammy/Latin Grammy winner’s Tiny Desk performance below.
Earlier this year, Juanes completed an extensive (28-date) first North American run of his highly praised “Vida Cotidiana World Tour.” The powerful rock guitar tour (driven by the sound of Juanes’ own recently unveiled signature Fender Stratocaster) is both a live celebration of the Colombian superstar’s highly personal “Best Latin Rock /Alternative” Grammy winning album Vida Cotidiana (Everyday Life), and an immersive journey through his numerous chart-topping greatest hits.
Recently, after also playing to hundreds of thousands of fans in Latin America, Europe and more, Juanes has announced a special second leg of limited US dates this fall that will let him bring this dynamic live production to fans in cities he has never or rarely visited before.
The shows will begin October 17 in Kansas City, launching a 14-date string of concerts that will conclude with a December 16 & 17 two-night stand in Highland, California. One additional appearance to follow (December 21) will see Juanes return again as one of the leading artists for the 2024 edition of The Besame Mucho Festival at Dodger Stadium. Tickets for the new shows are available now.
The Los Angeles Times said of Juanes’ live show: “The winner of the 2024 Best Latin Rock or Alternative Grammy brought magic to fans with one of his best performances to date’…With the seats of all four levels of the YouTube Theater packed to capacity… Juanes brought them all together to dream again with an unforgettable night full of music, anecdotes, applause, ovations and mutual gratitude that resonated beyond the venue walls With a long collection of hits strung together… Juanes gave a master class on guitar… and closed with the lights of thousands of cell phones illuminating the room, which will surely await his return in the coming years.”
