A new documentary about Eels frontman Mark Oliver Everett, known as E, is on the way. The film is titled THE WAY I WAS MADE: The Story of a Man Called E and is co-produced by Judd Apatow, famous for directing hits like The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up. Apatow expressed his excitement, saying, “I’ve always thought E’s story would make for a fantastic documentary. I am confused by why it has taken this long.”
The release date for the documentary hasn’t been announced yet, but fans are already buzzing with anticipation. Eels first gained fame in the mid-’90s with their debut album, Beautiful Freak. The album featured the hit single “Novocaine for the Soul,” which reached #1 on the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart. Another popular track, “My Beloved Monster,” was included in the original 2001 Shrek soundtrack.
Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project!
