Kali Uchis And SZA Heat Things Up On ‘Fue Mejor’ Remix

After sharing a snippet of a new remix of last year’s Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios) track “fue mejor,” Kali Uchis has released the official remix, featuring new vocals from SZA.

In the new version, SZA matches Uchis’ languid cadence and even sings her verses in Spanish. The new remix also arrives with a very sensual video to match, as Uchis and SZA writhe around in various locations, from atop racing cars to literally being engulfed in flames.

“Fue Mejor” originally appeared on Uchis’ first Spanish-language full-length album, Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios), and boasted a PARTYNEXTDOOR cameo.

Kali Uchis’s profile has been on the rise over the past few years, and her 2020 album Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios) ∞ continues to rack up streams and critical praise this year.

Following her win at the Grammys earlier this year, Kali Uchis won her first Billboard Latin Music Award last week for “Latin Pop” Album of the Year. This year marked Uchis’ first time nominated for a Billboard Latin Music Award, and as a finalist in seven categories, she was among the most nominated in 2021.

The Colombian-American singer was also chosen as one of the artists to open for Tyler, The Creator on his 2022 tour, and the two previously collaborated before on “After The Storm” off her 2018 album Isolation.

Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios) featured a number of A-list collaborators including Rico Nasty on “¡aquí yo mando!”, Jhay Cortez on “te pongo mal (préndelo)” and Jowell & Randy on “la luz (Fin).”

As fans are also anxiously awaiting a full-length album from SZA, the Crtl singer released a single for the new Dear Evan Hansen film adaption called “The Anonymous Ones.”

The new version of “fue mejor” will also be available on physical formats, Uchis confirmed.
