Karol G has been named Billboard’s 2024 Woman of the Year.

The iconic singer will be honored with the 2024 Woman of the Year Award at the Billboard Women in Music Awards. The show is set for Wednesday, March 6 at the YouTube Theater at Hollywood Park in Los Angeles, and will be available to stream on March 7. Karol will also perform at the event.

“With her immense talent, Karol G has created a movement for women across the globe due to her empowering lyrics and inspiring confidence,” said Hannah Karp, Billboard’s editorial director. “The release of her groundbreaking album Mañana Será Bonito has proven her a force to be reckoned with in both the English and Spanish charts. We are so excited to honor her as Woman of the Year.”

Last we heard from the Colombian singer was at the end of 2023, when she announced her European tour debut, bringing the “Mañana Será Bonito Tour” to arenas and stadiums across Europe in June and July 2024.

Produced by Live Nation, the 10-date stretch across nine countries will kick off on Saturday, June 8 at the Hallenstadion in Zurich, Switzerland, making stops in Cologne, Amsterdam, London, Paris, Milan, Antwerp, Berlin, and Lisbon, closing the tour at the iconic Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid, Spain on Saturday, July 20. The European leg of Karol G’s tour will follow her 27-date trek across 14 cities in Latin America, which will visit countries including Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Argentina, and Brazil.

Elsewhere in Karol G news, the star joined her fellow Colombian Kali Uchis for a collaboration on the latter’s 2024 album, titled “Labios Mordidos.” Karol had teased the track in her performance at the Billboard Music Awards.

Kali and Karol—two of the most-streamed women in music today—have become friends in recent years, bonding over their shared Colombian roots and first collaborating on “ME TENGO QUE IR” from Karol’s Mañana Sera Bonita (Bichota Season) earlier this year.
