Kay Flock Recruits Cardi B, Dougie B, Bory300 For Bronx-Driven Drill Anthem ‘Shake It’

New York drill star Kay Flock is throwing a grand celebration of the Bronx on his latest single “Shake It,” which recruits hometown-sharing rappers Cardi B, Dougie B, and Bory300 for a four-piece party of bold lyricism and a pulsing drill beat.

Produced by Elias Beatz, the track went viral on TikTok ahead of its release with listeners latching onto its two samples: Sean Paul’s 2005 hit “Temperature” and Akon’s “Bananza (Belly Dancer),” also released back in 2005.

The track arrives with a music video directed by Jochi Saca, Alex and Tristan Demic that finds the quarter of rappers posted up outside of Firehouse deli, a staple establishment in City Island – one of the liveliest areas in the Bronx, especially when the weather cracks ahead of the warmest season of the year.

The quartet brings some heat of their own throughout “Shake It.” On her verse, Cardi B spits: “All of my opps get mixed with the grabba / Broke b—h said she was gon’ touch me (Like, what?) / She lyin’, hakuna matata / All the bros know that I’m uppin’ that, full-form (Boom) / All the opps up in heaven, got room for ‘em.”

“Shake it, shake it, shake it, shake it / I’m with the Flockas, I bet she get naked / Walk with the ‘Migos and Henny, no chasin’,” Bory300 and Dougie B deliver on the chorus.

Speaking with Billboard about growing up in the Bronx rap scene, Kay Flock shared: “I wasn’t thinking about rapping. I wasn’t doing that. I used to watch mad videos — like Bronx artists and rappers from other hoods. I started out playing around. When I first made a song, I was goofing and playing around and s–t. It got to a point where I made a song that I liked, and I just dropped it. I got signed to my label shortly after that.”
