Keith Buckley joined The Dillinger Escape Plan on stage at The Belasco in Los Angeles on December 12. He performed a cover of Nine Inch Nails’ “Wish” and also sang on their song “43% Burnt.” Buckley previously tackled “Wish” with the band back in 2009. Fans captured the excitement of the crowd as these two came together for the performance.
Buckley now leads a new band called Many Eyes after Every Time I Die split up in early 2022. Three former members of Every Time I Die formed a new group called Better Lovers, bringing in Greg Puciato as their singer. Puciato was the frontman for The Dillinger Escape Plan before they disbanded, creating an interesting link between the two bands.
Ben Weinman, a member of The Dillinger Escape Plan, spoke about Puciato’s departure a few years ago. He mentioned that the band members, including himself, didn’t share the same values as Greg. He acknowledged Puciato’s contributions to the band’s legacy but noted that there was a lot of misinformation surrounding the split.
The Dillinger Escape Plan has reunited for a few select performances since their breakup, but it hasn’t been a full comeback. Their recent show in LA was part of this limited return to the stage.
Buckley’s appearance comes amid the ongoing fallout from Every Time I Die’s split. The breakup led to the formation of two separate projects, both of which continue to tour and release new music. This performance was a rare moment of collaboration between artists connected through their band’s changes. Fans shared videos of the show on social media, capturing the excitement of the night.
