Kentucky’s Railbird Festival Returns With Margo Price, Midland, Many More

Railbird Festival will return to Kentucky in August for its second event, a two-day experience featuring such notables as Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, Midland, Margo Price, Dave Matthews Band, Sarah Jarosz, Tanya Tucker, and local heroes My Morning Jacket.

Others on an impressive bill for the August 28-29 festival include Leon Bridges, Billy Strings, Black Pumas, Khruangbin, Band of Horses, Sierra Ferrell, the War and Treaty, and Cedric Burnside. Produced by AC Entertainment and Lexington, KY entrepreneur David Helmers, Railbird will take place at the Grounds at Keeneland Racecourse.

The first Railbird Festival took place in the summer of 2019, impressing fans and media alike, with Rolling Stone stating that it “shook the senses of the listener.” The second event will again celebrate the culture and traditions of the Bluegrass State, complementing the musical fare with bourbon, Kentucky cuisine, and equine culture.

Notes co-founder Helmers: “While we all missed live music and experiences tremendously last year, the Railbird team looked at it as a time to build on the success of our inaugural festival and come back even better than before. We’ve been planning intensely and are excited for the festival’s return to Keeneland with a list of world class artists, bourbon and culinary experiences.”

General Admission (GA) and VIP two-day passes, a limited quantity of which are priced at $155, are now available here along with all other information. A portion of every ticket sale will benefit Railbird’s nonprofit community partners, Fayette Alliance, Central Kentucky Riding for Hope, and Central Music Academy.
