Kings of Leon Electrifying Homecoming Performance at Rock Pilgrimage Festival

Kings of Leon took over the Midnight Sun main stage for 90 minutes at the Pilgrimage Music Festival. They kicked off the show with “Supersoaker,” a hit from 2013, and kept the energy high throughout their set. Fans sang along to classics like “Use Somebody” and “Revelry.” The band mixed in older favorites like “On Call” with their new single “Mustang,” set to release in 2024.

The performance had a couple of interruptions due to medical issues in the crowd. The first happened when the band noticed someone in trouble near the stage. Caleb Followill expressed concern, saying, “I hope everyone’s alright.” Shortly after, staff rushed to assist two more fans.

This night was special for the band, as they hail from Mount Juliet, just a few miles from the festival. Caleb shared, “A lot of people who’ve been here with us since we started in this town. It’s always good to come back home and play to the ones we love.” Their Tennessee pride shone through, especially when they played “Back Down South.” Caleb reflected on the song, saying it reminds them of home.

The highlight of the night was their iconic track “Sex on Fire.” As they wrapped up the song, Caleb thanked the crowd, who responded with loud cheers. Fans can look forward to more from Kings of Leon, with tickets available for their upcoming shows in Las Vegas.
