KISS Biopic: New Details On What The Film Will Cover

KISS will be the subject of a new biopic that’s heading to Netflix, and the band’s manager, Doc McGhee, offered up some new details of what the film will cover.

Speaking on Talking Metal, McGhee said the film will chronicle the first four years of KISS’ existence.

“Basically, it’s before they were famous,” said McGhee. “…And I think it’s a very interesting look at the formation of Kiss, the mindset of how that came about, the social pressure that everybody was [under] in the ’60s and ’70s that brought something like Kiss to the forefront [so] that it could actually happen.”

He added, “So, it’s a very interesting, and I think it’s a well-written, movie. And our partners right now is Netflix. It’ll be a theatrical release then Netflix.

As previously reported, the film is titled Shout It Out Loud, and both Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley are working closely on the film. Joachim Rønning (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil) has been tapped as a director with the script being written by Ole Sanders. So far, casting decisions have yet to be announced.
