Korn & Breaking Benjamin Kick Off Their Winter 2020 Tour In Allentown, PA

Korn kicked off thier 24 stop Winter 2020 Tour with Breaking Benjamin and Bones(UK) on Thursday Night at the PPL Center in Allentown, PA.

Getting things started was BONES UK, a Grammy nominated female rock bandconsisting of members Rosie Bones, Carmen Vandenberg and their drummer “Heavy.”  BONES UK played a 30 minute set that included “Creature,” “Black Blood,” “Choke,” “Girls Can’t Play Guitar,”and their cover of David Bowie‘s “I’m Afraid of Americans” which they performed on the Howard Stern Show on  SiriusXM a few months back and is featured on Stern’s Tribute to David Bowie show.  BONES UK ended their set with “Pretty Waste” from their self-title debut album and was nominated for Best Rock Performance as the 2020 Grammy Awards.

Next up was Pennsylvania’s own Breaking Benjamin who played 12 song –  50 minute set lit mostly be red lights.  Their set included fan favorites like  “Failure,” “Breathe,” “Shallow Bay,” “Red Cold River” and “The Diary of Jane.”  Breaking Benjamin is one of those bands that is alway a pleasure to see and hear and they did not disappoint their “home town” crowd on this night.

Finally, Korn hit the stage after a kabuki drop that reveled Jonanthan Davis at his famous mic stand as well as Fieldy, Munky, Head and Ray Luzier on stage getting right into “Here To Stay.”  Next was the song that really put korn on the map, “Blind.”  Of course, when JD says “Are You Ready?!” the crowd at the PPL Center went completely ape shit.   Korn did a 15 song set that lasted about an hour whcih included “Divine, “Shoots and Ladders,” “Got The Life,” “Freak On a Leash” and “Falling Away From Me.”  The band actualy did theree songs from their lastest offering “The Nothing” – “You’ll Never Find Me,” “Can You Hear Me” and “Cold.”  Korn has now been around for 25 years and puts it all out there on the stage at every show.
