Lamb of God took the stage for Heavy Metal Night at CarMax Park in Richmond, Virginia, on Thursday. The band, known for their heavy sound, threw out the first pitch, with drummer Art Cruz successfully making it over home plate. Guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler kicked off the event by performing the national anthem on guitar before the game between the Richmond Flying Squirrels and the Erie Seawolves.
During the seventh inning stretch, Art and frontman Randy Blythe led the crowd in singing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.” The band also stayed after the game to sign posters for fans.
Lamb of God recently released their new album, Into Oblivion, in March and completed a tour in April. They are set to begin a European tour on July 24 in Turkey. Fans can find the full list of tour dates on their website.
