Life is Pitch-y: Padres Closer Uses Korn’s ‘Blind’ as Walk-On Music

The MLB season is in full swing, and fans are enjoying their favorite players’ walk-on music. San Diego Padres pitcher Mason Miller made a bold choice for his debut this season. He stepped onto the mound to Korn’s iconic nu metal track “Blind.” The song kicks off with frontman Jonathan Davis shouting, “Are you ready?” right after the opening guitar riff.

It seems the heavy tune got Miller fired up, as he secured a save and helped the Padres clinch a win. Korn also shared the excitement, posting a video of Miller’s entrance on their Instagram Story.

“Blind” isn’t the first metal song to pump up a pitcher. Legendary New York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera famously used Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” as his entrance music.

Fans love seeing how music and sports collide, and Miller’s choice is a perfect example of that. Keep an ear out for more walk-on music as the season continues!
