Lil Baby and Kirk Franklin have released a visual for their standout Space Jam: A New Legacy contribution “We Win.”
The video combines footage from the LeBron James and Looney Tunes-starring film with shots of Franklin and Lil Baby performing the track on a basketball court.
Lil Baby previously told Rolling Stone of the collaboration, “Working with a legend like Kirk Franklin was cool. I’m proud this is a song that my grandma and kids can listen to, while at the same time I’m still being authentically me. I’m always looking to grow as an artist, and to be a part of the No.1 Gospel song in the country…It’s a blessing.”
Franklin, who has been in Lil Baby’s corner since “The Bigger Picture,” added of the rapper, “That he was able to tap into some depth about what was happening and with the temperature of the moment in society, I was impressed. And I think he did it again [on ‘We Win’]. Once again, he showed people how broad he can be in his commentary, and his vulnerability, too.”
Back in June, Lil Baby announced a nationwide tour with Lil Durk during which they will be performing hits off their recent collaborative album, The Voice of the Heroes, which debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Produced by Live Nation, the fall tour will kick off on September 1 in Mansfield, MA at the Xfinity Center making stops in New Orleans, Phoenix, Los Angeles, and Brooklyn, before wrapping up in West Palm Beach, FL on October 15 at the iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre.
Baby will support the run with a string of festival dates, including a headlining set at iHeartRadio Music Festival, scheduled for September 17 and 18 at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena. The two-day fest will also feature Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Coldplay, Maroon 5, Florida Georgia Line, Cheap Trick, Nelly, Journey, Sam Hunt, Khalid, and more artists to be announced, as well as the customary surprise appearances and collaborations. Ryan Seacrest will host the proceedings.
